About Me
Hello. I am an experienced freelance author and journalist who writes about how technology shapes people’s lives.
After a decade of journalism, I branched out into authoring consumer and small-business technology books. Digital Photography for the Older and Wiser (Wiley; 2010) is out now. Both Spotify for Dummies and Starting and Running an Online Business for Dummies (UK edition) (Wiley; 2011) are out now. I also co-wrote eBay.co.uk for Business All-in-One for Dummies (Wiley; 2009).
Since 1998, I’ve written and edited in a senior editorial capacity at high-profile publications. These include Which? Computing, the UK’s highest-selling consumer technology title; and Internet Magazine, one of the UK’s first publications dedicated to online lifestyle and business. I was also assistant editor at one of Australia’s foremost business technology titles, MIS Australia. I continue to contribute to Which? Computing and other bestselling titles.
I recently moved back to Sydney after spending a decade in London, but the nature of my work and my knowledge of the industry mean I’m still happy to work on UK-based articles and books.
For author enquiries please get in touch with my agent, Isabel Atherton of Creative Authors, who will be happy to assist. Otherwise, feel free to contact me directly via my LinkedIn profile.
