About Me

Kim GilmourI am an experienced freelance author, editor and journalist who writes about how technology shapes people’s lives. Topics of expertise include digital marketing, social media, photography, web design, digital music and online privacy and security.

Since 1998, I’ve written and edited in a senior editorial capacity at high-profile publications. These include Which? Computing, the UK’s highest-selling consumer technology title; and Internet Magazine, one of the UK’s first publications dedicated to online lifestyle and business. I was also assistant editor at one of Australia’s original business technology titles, MIS. Several years ago I branched out into writing technology books including Digital Photography for the Older and Wiser and eBay.co.uk for Business for Dummies.

For examples of my work, see my Writing and Media page.
